Its Board of Governors consisting of five officers, the Past Commodore and three Governors at Large, runs Philadelphia Yacht Club. The officers are the Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Secretary, and Purser who are elected from the body of the membership for a one-year term of office. The Governors at Large are also elected from the body of the membership and serve a three-year term with one Governor elected each year to insure overlapping terms.
